Attention all fly-rod builders out there! It's very hard to find rod blanks in anything less than 4 pieces. If you are looking for 6 PIECE ROD BLANKS, search Dan Craft or 5 Rivers Rod Blanks. He has a pretty good variety of line weights and lengths.

I had an awesome weekend in AZ. My wife and I went down to attend the wedding of her cousin. It was a beautiful wedding and the food at the reception was great. We were able to see my in-laws who I love to visit and also my brother and his wife and Kate was able to see her cousin who she is close to and just returned from a mission. We went wake surfing/boarding and had pool parties. Lucky for me the weather is unseasonably cooler and so instead of temps in the 100s the temps were in the high 80s and 90s. And we were able to fly instead of drive for 17 hours and that made the trip much easier to make. It’s disappointing to leave the good life and go back to work but it was cool.

New apartment

We moved to a new apartment and so now we have a new interent set up.  We share a cable one connecion with our neighbors.  It’s a strong signal and it seems to be even faster than our last set up so I’m pretty happy with it although I think Kate could care less.   I went down to the lumber yard in Rexburg and got some particle board and some cinder blocks so that we could finally get our bed off the floor and that is also nice.  I think those are the only things nicer about this apartment than our previous one.  We nicknamed our new place “The pit of despair.”  I don’t think either of us are in despair, we’re just grateful that we were able to find an apartment for as cheap as it is.  So that’s the news at the Mower casa.

We finally got the internet installed in our apartment.  It’s a Bridgemax wireless modem system.  I’m not too familliar with how it works although I understand it’s basically like a wireless router with a really big range that recieve a signal from certain broadcast towers in town and then you plug your own wireless router into the wireless modem.  It’s kind of expensive but the speed is decent and was really easy to install and get going.  You pay more for a plan without a contract but it gives you the freedom to leave when ever you want without paying fees.  I think it’ll work out fine.  I am having issues with the Airport Express that I’m using as a router.  It’s not turning out to be very reliable.  Last night it wasn’t broadcasting a signal to my computer but it was to my wife’s computer.  There might be some interference from the internet modem that is getting in the way possibly.

This is my post here on this blog.  I tried to have a blog before and I found that anything of importance in my life just didn’t seem blog worthy.  But now I realize that there may be people out there who would like to keep track of me without going to the effort of finding my number and calling me.  It might be interesting to find out how my readers respond to my application into vet school and grad schools as well.  I just got married 2 weeks ago to a beautiful girl named Kate.  It’s still foreign to think that I am a husband now,  Everything else has gone great though.
